The Otonokizaka Academy Student Council is first introduced with Eli Ayase as the capable and talented student council president, who excels at academics and athletics and performs her duties flawlessly. Nozomi Tojo serves as the vice-president, acting as the voice of reason to Eli and the spiritual leader of the group. Initially, Eli opposes Honoka's plan to start a school idol group, believing traditional methods are the way to save the school. However, after witnessing Honoka's determination, Eli becomes the second-to-last girl to join μ's, bringing her ballet experience to serve as the group's choreographer. Nozomi, who has an almost all-knowing vibe and speaks in Kansai dialect despite not being from that region, uses her fortune-telling hobby to quickly fit in at new schools due to her family's frequent moves. After the third-years graduate, Honoka takes over as student council president, with Umi as vice-president, and Kotori Minami joins the student council to assist them with their duties.

In Their Own Story

When Honoka Kōsaka first proposes forming a school idol group to save Otonokizaka Academy from shutting down, Student Council President Eli Ayase firmly opposes the idea, believing it is not a serious solution. However, as Honoka and her friends begin forming μ's, Eli gradually warms to the group after seeing their dedication. She ultimately joins as the second-to-last member, bringing her ballet training to choreograph the group's performances. Nozomi Tojo, the vice-president, supports Eli throughout and uses her fortune-telling to guide the group, even naming μ's based on events yet to happen. After μ's successfully prevents the school from closing and wins the Love Live competition, the third-years graduate, and Honoka becomes the new student council president, with Umi as vice-president and Kotori assisting them.
